Managing Partner
Jamie joined Bruton Financial Advisors in 1998, and became Managing Partner with the formation of Bruton Chisnell Advisors in 2018. He is specialized in fiduciary oversight of qualified and non qualified retirement plans and endowments. Additionally, Jamie serves individual clients for financial advisory needs, especially focused on the interrelatedness of owning a business and the impact on personal wealth and estate needs. During Jamie’s career, he has helped hundreds of businesses initiate, manage, and terminate retirement plans to fulfill the requirements of the ERISA – Employee Retirement Income Security Act. While serving these plans, he has met individually with thousands of plan participants for one-on-one retirement planning sessions. Jamie and his team are focused on helping the Plan Sponsor achieve their fiduciary responsibilities while working to create successful outcomes for participants and their families.
Jamie’s education credentials include a B.A. in Biology from Lafayette College, and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He also was commissioned as an Officer in the US Army through ROTC, and served in the Army Reserves. Jamie is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Auditor (AIFA®), along with having the FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 and state insurance licenses.
Jamie’s industry involvement includes national speaking engagements on retirement plans and related fiduciary oversight responsibilities at the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and the Valmark 401(k) Summit. Locally, Jamie has led and facilitated numerous professional continuing education sessions sponsored by Bruton Chisnell Advisors and Ed Slott & Company.
Jamie has been a life-long resident of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, and resides there with his wife and three children. He is extremely active in the local community, volunteering on several fundraising committees for non-profit and political campaigns. Previously, he was elected to Borough of Downingtown Council for 12 years, serving as President for 6 years. He also served as Vice President of the Collegium Charter School. Currently, he is Cub Scout Pack Master of Pack 8, and is an active supporter of Downingtown’s Good Neighbor Day, Downingtown Library, Boys and Girls Club of Cecil & Hartford County, and many other local organizations and events.
